I have a maytag portable rolling dishwasher that you are supposed to hook up to the kitchen sink. I bought it used so there are no instructions. I have the piece that screws into the faucet head securely in place and there is an extra rubber seal that I’m not sure where it goes. On the dishwasher I have one of the white quick disconnect hoses that is supposed to snap over the screwed on piece. But, I guess I’m not doing it right because its leaking. Is there anyway someone can describe to me how its supposed to look? Or where that extra seal is supposed to go?
Thank you!
Adriene

Hi there! I’m no expert, but if you look on the back of the machine, there may be a serial number of some kind. Write that number down, and then go to Maytag’s website. They may have a place where you can type that serial number in and look up instructions that way. If not, then you can maybe call maytag and ask someone in person or you can maybe have someone come out and install it for you. Good luck and I hope this helped! =)

i have one of those too.
the hose goes from the sink to the machine, and theres a second hose that goes back to the sink, that thing will drain out all the water from the sink. the extra rubber seal (gasket? i think they’re called) could be a spare, or it might be for putting around the thing that screws onto the faucet (ours always sprays a little, we just put a wash cloth over it to stop it).
where is it leaking? if its leaking at the faucet, just make sure its screwed on real good, and maybe throw some electrical tape or duct tape over it. good luck.

I used to have a whirlpool portable, best dishwasher I have ever owned and if you have a maytag, well you got the best.
Anyway the hook up I had was a onepiece thing on the hose to the faucet, it was a pushup type deal that had a valve type thing when the water was being pumped out of the dishwasher it opened and allowed that to pump out from one hose and the otherhose was the water inlet. If it is leaking I would say the gasket you have needs to go into the part that hooks onto the faucet or perhaps inside the adapter for the faucet it is missing its gasket. It is something you have to kind of hunt and pull apart and think about logically to figure how it should work. I have found the following website you can log a question like this into and some one who is more knowledgable than I can perhaps help you. good luck until then , if it is not spraying all over the place wrap a dish towel around it and let it drip.
