    NO the filter wont allow sufficient flow and you will have to change your filter more often

    Sounds like a really bad idea to me… I’d take the Brita filter off when you’re using the dishwasher…

    Why would your bother filtering the water in your dishwasher? They do make filters large enough to do this job, but it is an “in-line” filter. The Brita filter you are talking about will not produce enough water flow, and you could burn out the pump on the washer. Also, you would probably blow through the entire filter with one or two loads of dishes.
