I have an older dishwasher-Kenmore model#363 16569790. It won’t drain. The wash cycle washes our dishes just fine, there’s no puddles on the floor, but after a wash cycle, the bottom of the machine is full of water.
As far as I can tell, new water comes in during the wash cycle, there is nothing blocking the drain filters that I can see. Any suggestions on trouble shooting? Should I call Sears? A plumber?

I am in the market for a portable dishwasher. I have been looking at models that range between $450.00 and $500.00 in price, but I just found an ad in the paper for a used whirlpool for $100.00. The owner is moving into a house and no longer needs it. It is 1 1/2 years old and in good working condition. Is is wise to purchase such an appliance used – or should I stick to finding a new one?

I have a 5.5-year old Maytag Performa portable dishwasher for my apartment. I’m moving to a new apartment that has a built-in dishwasher, so I’m probably going to sell it.
Normal cycle, which is all I have ever used, works perfectly well, but the dishwasher has three features, temp boost, extended wash, and heated dry, that I have never used.
Consequently, I don’t know whether work now (or if they ever worked properly, for that matter). How can I test to see if these features work so I can be honest with whomever I sell it to about whether these features work?

I have a kenmore dishwasher and it’s not draining correctly. The dishes aren’t getting clean and there is some water sitting in the bottom when it’s done too. We took off the little screen at the bottom and there is nothing down there except the dirty water. PLease can anyone tell me how to fix this?
edit to add: how does/can it get a kink in it if it’s been working fine all along?

What I mean is do they carry specific lines of Maytag, GE, Amana, etc appliances that are only sold in Home Depot stores?
The reason why I am asking is because we bought a Maytag 300 dishwasher there 20 months ago and it is already dead from issues with the control panel. It is just as much money to repair so we decided to replace it instead. Even though the Depot has the best prices, I’m wondering if we should continue buying there because maybe their products are so inexpensive is because they are CHEAP. Would we have better luck with quality of product if we bought from a large but locally owned appliance store instead?
